Screen splits color/ brightness

Have done factory resets, firmware updates and reinstalls. Doesn't matter if content is hdr or not. Wether it's from PS4 or PC plugged into it keeps doing it. Sometimes after an hour, sometimes every 2 mins. Have to keep rebooting to stop it. Any help would be great. Thanks.

nope.. contact the retailer its their problem to arrange repair/replacement/refund (if major fault and it looks like it its your choice as to which remedy you want as per aust consumer warranty)  if you deal with the maker direct the refund part is removed from the solution.

do everything in writing..email, not phone calls.

Yes if it's brand new, but he never said if it was or not? If it's past that 2 week period you simply get it fixed under warranty.

true op never stated age of unit, bought new or imported or 2nd hand but there is no 14 days as far as i can find. it all comes down to a MINOR or MAJOR fault.

quote:

Repair, replacement or refund

You can ask a business for your preference of a free repair, replacement or refund, but you are not always entitled to one. For example, the consumer guarantees do not apply if you got what you asked for but simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it.

See: Exceptions to consumer guarantees

If you have a minor problem with a product or service, the business can choose to give you a free repair instead of a replacement or refund. When you have a major problem with a product, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement or refund.

anyway not trying to cause a rift here just asking op looks into the situation fully before deciding a course of action.
