Recommended Posts

SOLD
Price: $800
Item Condition: 8/10
Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.
Suburb or Town: Newport
State: Victoria
Payment Method: Cash, bank transfer
Reason for selling: Not required

Further information: I have 4 x Dsp5000 and two spare boxes for sale.

I can ship if necessary but they are about 40kg each

 Price is per pair

Happy to sell separately or work out a deal for the lot

They are in excellent condition and sound stunning.

Long throw drivers gets the bass Down low and controlled. Punchy mids and detailed highs, they are outstandingly good.

From memory they were around 10k a pair when new.

They are active speakers with dsp technology so for the asking price they are a true steal.

Only the One pair has grills

Please be aware I only have a single remote that is going to be included with the 561 I am listing. I use a logitech remote for my other meridian speakers as I prefer it but remotes are easily had or a universal will do.

The two cabinets are left over from replacing a couple that had marks, could come in handy for something down the road maybe so included in the sale price if wanted

See my other listings for Dsp5000c centre

561 control

G68 control

I also have a bunch of m33 speakers that I am not listing but are available if wanted

So no analog input on those, I guess the comms connector are no analog, right?

No, meridian dsp is all digital. To feed a analog source you need to go through a adc like the g68 or 561 I have listed.

I have a record player in my all digital system and it sounds great

Amazing set of speakers for throwaway money! I own a similar pair (DSP5000 smileys) for the past year and a half and have been very happy with them. Very good buying! From memory, these are around 32 kg each

I am guessing these are the earlier version - with 16/48 digital?

GLWTS!

Hi again fellow meridian lover ?

Yes these are the 18/48 version but I have read they will happily accept 24bit but it's capped at 48khz.

I also have the Dsp5500 24/97 and these things are every bit as enjoyable

Can't imagine these are still around! For 800 bucks for the pair, you won't get a better bargain. These are active speakers with built in DAC. I have a very similar model, and would highly recommend these - I paid far far more for mine when I bought them used around a year and a half ago.
