Saw them at Latrobe uni many moons ago, the ignorant young punks up front were spitting and throwing (full) cans at them. Us old farts up the back cheered them after they played for 45 min or so then made good their threat to walk off. They were never punk, they were old geezers even then playin' excellent rock n roll! I had Stranglers IV and No More Heroes albums, they then went on to produce some wonderful tunes, Golden Brown, Always The Sun and more.

I was there too! Such a shame, they were treated badly by a small section of the crowd
