Exceedingly rare VFET  amplifier. Japan only manufacture by the renown --  Victor Company of Japan.  Known as Victor  in Japan, you may know the manufacturer as the exported brand JVC.

The amplifer uses 4 pairs of NEC Vertical Fet Devices.  Manufacture - 1975- 1977.

Japan only domestic market amplifier - therefore 100 VOLT Power supply is required. You will require a quality isolated 240v to 100v transformer. DO NOT use 120v or 110v supply to operate this amplifier.  This amplifier is in original condition including the speaker terminals. You will require bare speaker wire or at maximum 2mm pins  to connect speakers. Refer again to the date of manufacture.

Power output - 100watts inmto 8 ohms. Weight - 20kg.  I have driven 8, 6 & 4 ohmn loads with this amplifier without issue.

Beautifully built bolid (beyond solid) piece of audio in remarkable condition. You need to see one in the flesh to appreciate the design and build. A collectors item, that also sounds excellent.

The price is firm. - Thank you.

This looks to be in mint condition and even has a headphone output. This would probably push ahead of my DAC and Cartridge purchase if I had the money.

Looks like a glorious piece of kit mate. GLWTS

This amp is a very good sounding amp.  No tranistor harshness . Very smooth and detailed

I auditoned Steve's amp on a very good horn system,  comparing it to highly considered Sony  TA-N78 100 watt Vfet amp.

They both sounded great with a very similar sound signature.  On the night if you had to pick a winner the Victor

was the prefered, just edging out the Sony by sounding little more organic.

For the price, when considering the sound quality the Victor is a bargain.

This is the second one I've seen for sale this year. The other one was on Gumtree. SA I think, not sure.

Avoid if possible. This has been listed on SA Gumtree for at least 12 months. He is a well known dealer in used hi fi gear in Adelaide ( one of about 4 who control the whole market ) and isn't really wiling to negotiate price changes so it remains stupidly over priced.

When contacted he is very vague about servicing and providence. I would avoid him and definitely go for the OP's listing.

@rantan Thanks for the heads up.  Yes I would be going for The Fez's if I was allowed to . SWMBO tells me I have too much gear already .

For those who have experienced with Herron VTSP-3, they know what a fantastic preamp this is and considered a must-audition product. It beats some big name preamps in the range of $10-$20k!!! But don’t take my words for it and listen for yourself... The RRP when new back in the day was USD $6550.

To roughly illustrate how good the Herron VTSP-3 is and I am not exaggerating - in a recent listening VTSP-3 beats the Accuphase C2400 (which was originally retailed for €12000/USD17000) hands down! The setup comprises top range gear of:
Accuphase & Esoteric SACD/CD players. Accuphase & Burmester power amps.
Marten, Gauder Akustic & Audio Solutions speakers!

A great review from positive-feedback and I am sure you can find more:
      https://positive-feedback.com/Issue35/herron_vtsp3.htm

According to the last owner, he contacted Herron with the serial number to confirm this unit as genuine. Keith Herron himself replied to confirm that although this unit was manufactured in 2008, no parts will wear out except the tubes. A snapshot of the email is provided. There have also been many comments on how VTSP-3 is so gentle on tubes that they last forever...

Now here is the fun part - VTSP-3 is very susceptible to tube rolling. If my asking price is met, I will include two sets of vintage tubes (A total of 14 tubes all were bought NOS). Otherwise, I am open to reasonable offer if the buyer just wants the Electro Harmonix 6922 stock tubes.

Tubes included in the asking price are:

6x Electro Harmonix 6922 stock tubes
      Plus (refer to picture)

      Front row:

After a taste of the first Shunyata power cable Python Helix Alpha, I bought this cable from a very nice SNAer here last week. I found Shunyata really suits my system and I like what these cables did. Now I decided to upgrade to their upper range but need to sell this first...

Suburb or Town: Adelaide State: SA Payment Method: PayPal, EFT, Cash on Pickup Reason for selling: Upgrade - need Pre-Outs Further information: I bought this from Amazon a couple of weeks ago to replace a 5.1ch Pioneer amp that was aging. It's a really good amp and I love the connectivity features. Selling because I need Pre-Outs to run an integrated 2ch amp I've just purchased.

Connectivity is really good with HEOS, connects to Spotify/Tidal etc through the HEOS app and controllable by your phone. Has wifi for Airplay 2, Alexa, eARC, Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth, Audessey room correction setup and all the modern features you'd expect of a modern amp.

In great / as new condition. I bought this only in October.

All manuals and docs available and I can provide a receipt. I don't have the original box but I can drop off at Pack & Send if someone is keen from interstate.

I believe it's Amazon's top selling amp and has a lot of great reviews. Currently in use so you can demo.
