Looking for book shelf speakers.

Hello everyone.

New to this forum, and was hoping to get some advice on which bookshelf speakers would pair well with my Reger rp6 with exact cartridge.

My price range is around the $1500 mark.

The rest off my system is an old Kenwood stereo integrated amplifier ka 88 130w, and Nova 2 phono preamplifier .
looking for speakers with detail and musicality.

Must have detail without the ear fatigue that sometimes goes with it.

The Lenehan ML2+Rs should really be on here too. 

 

Have come up on here second hand for bargain prices for $4k with stands. 

 

In the sub $10k category new and I'd personally take them over anything from B+W for 3 times the price. Same with any of Mike's stuff compared to B+W. 

 

Plus with Lenehan you get to buy Aussie made, visit the workshop where they're all hand made to perfection and listen to your speaker. 

 

I'm waiting on amp repair at the moment after a plumbing fault tripped the breakers for the house. If you BYO an amp welcome to come Sydney northside and plug in.

German made speakers.

Ive heard there quite a detailed speaker.

Rio hifi have them on sale from $1999 to $1399.

the canton are 85dbl/w/m which is not very effecient, your amp is 100-120wpc depending which review you read, 7,5kg suggests not a huge power supply, take the Kenwood to Rio hifi if there is a store near you, would be worth the drive, you may be taking them home with you

Is it the 826 you were talking about? I don't see Rio has .2 Vento line on their website.

certainly plenty of options out there, many good ones also turn up in the classifieds...depending on taste and rest of system am sure be something for everyone with numerous options on the market these days
