Further information: Bought these recently from another SNV member. Both sound exactly the same in my system but I have found through rolling many signal tubes that the 12AT7s don't make a huge difference as long as they are quality. The 12AX7s do make a difference though.

With this info I would like to offer these to someone who can take better advantage rather than me burning out some fantastic and highly regarded tubes.

The pair with the boxes are NOS with roughly 110hrs on them so pretty much new

The other pairs history isn't as well known. I have put a max of 10 hrs on each pair.

Price is what they cost me of $220 for both plus postage or $110 each plus postage. I have plenty of bubble wrap and they will be packaged excellently.

Just sharing a bit of background info on the value of these Brimar 12AT7 (6060) valves. The XXX/1980 coded variant were made in the Brimar Rochester plant (same factory as the 1950's famous black toasted plate box plate design) in the 1960's specifically for telecommunication applications requiring the input stage of any amplifying stage to have minimal micophonics. These valves cannot be beaten for sound and microphonics for the first stage in any 12AT7 based phono stage circuit. I have tried 100's if not 1000's  of different brands, variants and revisions of 12AT7 valves since 2008 and this one has come out on top of my ECC81 list.
