Recommended Posts

Ok, long story shirt.

2 TVs in the house.

One received all channels and the other only all the channel 9 variants.

They both use the same aerials.

ive tried to retune it but still no luck.

Either Coax is damaged to 1 point, or length of cable run may require an amp to get sufficient signal strength to tune. Is the 1 only getting 9 further from the aerial?

Yes it’s further from the aerial but it been working perfectly for years up until a week or 2 ago.

Could be storm damage to the splitter or 1 of the joins. Coax joins will deteriate over time, especially exposed to the elements. My aerial is inside my roof space so never gets wet or blown around.

Suggest you get an aerial guy in. Perhaps try another portable TV to that point first to and see if could be the TV's tuner at fault.

Have you taken it into the same room as the no problem tv and connected it to the aerial there? If the problem persists, it's likely the tv. If the problem is solved, then you may need to have the aerial cable replaced.
