Speaker switch boxes - 2 amps, 1 speaker

Recommended Posts

I don’t have any experience of using speaker switch boxes. I recently bought a Devialet Pro 140, and was a little disappointed to find that the back inputs were not the same as the online manual. My mistake. There is only one RCA input on this model. So I can’t do both HT bypass and Phono input as I was planning.

Which leads me to look at speaker wired switch boxes. I’m concerned that they would colour the results or degrade the signal. I don’t want one with any kind of volume control.

Does anyone have good experiences of using one?

It would be for AVR (Cambridge Audio CXR-200 and amp above) into one speakers.

Models I’ve looked at are.

They are not cheap, but unless there is a hidden gem I don’t want some el-cheapo poorly made box either.

Please help 😬

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. Please see this thread:

And what’s the verdict? Are you happy with it so far?
