Guest deanB
Was perusing the China Hifi site and noticed this preamp. It's not cheap at nearly $3600usd but to the untrained eye looks interesting. Transformer coupled output and claimed output impedance is a low 10ohms. A lot of glass in there but other than the WY-1 voltage stabiliser, it's all commonly available valve types. Runs a Danish DACT volume control, xlr in/out, nos RCA rectifier, Rubycon Black Gate(?) caps. Not sure what I'm looking at in the trannie dept. I'll post a couple of lid off pics and any thoughts regarding pros and cons welcome. There's a little bit about Bewitch on the web. Most prominent was Mr Fikus@Lampizator giving the Bewitch KT88 the thumbs up, a rare occurrence for the budget valve amp category. That was heartening enough for me to post here. https://www.china-hifi-audio.com/en/bewitch-vacuum-tube-amplifier-c-29/bewitch-sn3008t-russia-tube-hi-end-pre-amplifier-2011-new-p-270 There's another model listed, SN3008, that's $1kusd cheaper. Pic below is the cheaper version Edited January 29, 2020 by deanB
Steffen
That looks very tidy indeed, but I'm puzzled at the complete lack of shielded or twisted signal wires?
