Repurposed for a record-cleaning machine.

Recommended Posts

This could be good, they are not uncommon and they usually include a soak, wash and a rinse cycle.  Probably produce ultrasounds as well.

I would welcome an informed discussion regarding the merits of Finish or Fairy cleaning tablets for records below.

[Edit:  this is a humorous post, please don't wash your records in a dishwasher]

I'd recommend Finish Rinse Aid for its surfactant properties, which aids both the cleaning and drying process. You'll need some label savers for sure. https://www.amazon.com/GroovmasterTM-Label-Saver-Record-Cleaner/dp/B00NP0QAOW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8  Keep the wash setting on the lower side, grab your most valuable records and give it a go. Looking forward to your findings!

I would be worried about the heat generated causing warpage, and the labels wearing off.

This is a tongue in cheek post, yes?

For particularly dirty records, use the pot scrubber cycle.

Yes, it is intended as a humorous posting.    Please don't take this seriously!

I would never suggest washing records in a dishwasher.

Edit: A clarification has been added to the initial post.

This will certainly get right into the grooves and remove any embedded dirt!

Anyone ever tried compressed air for deep groove cleaning(as opposed to sandblasting!🤤)?

Serious question.....

Maybe at low pressure, any moisture droplets or minute particles blasted at 100psi may not be good. But I think you really need to soften/loosen the deep groove K-wrap with moisture of some kind before you can dislodge it effectively.
