lazenby
Item: Yamaha NS-2000 Location: Melbourne(inner city) Price: $3500, $50 donation to SNA Item Condition: Good Reason for selling: Leaving the hobby Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: It appears this pair had the bass drivers professionally re-foamed in Japan prior to my taking possession. What they say about the NS2000s is true. They are different animal altogether form their more famous smaller sibling. They go low and the famed mid-range driver has ridiculously low levels of distortion. Horns sound incredible. They throw and huge lifelike image that narrow baffle floorstanders and bookshelf speakers cannot begin to approach. Comes with packaging to help with safe transport upon pickup. Cosmetically they are in decent although not mint condition. Genuine original speaker grilles are in excellent almost near new condition and are included. Item: Accuphase P-102 Location: Melbourne(inner city) Price: SOLD! $1650, $30 donation to SNA Item Condition: Good Reason for selling: Leaving the hobby Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: A not often seen Accuphase power amp. 23kg of pure class A heaven but very clean sounding with low distortion and separation between instruments. True fully differential balanced design with switchable XLR and RCA inputs, so separate analogue and digital systems/preamplification is possible. Gain control to optimise system gain while minimising system noise. And those UV meters in action are pure joy. Imagine what this level of construction and parts would cost if produced today... Download the brochure here for lots of info (very first link): https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-e&q=accuphase+p-102 Item: Rives audio PARC Location: Melbourne Price: $950 (reduced from $1150), $30 donation to SNA Item Condition: used - excellent Reason for selling: Leaving the hobby Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Very rare PARC in excellent condition. Complete with original packaging, user manual, and test CD. Has been in storage since I purchased it five years ago due to a renovation and lack of interest in hifi. Known to tame room modes in the analogue domain so that you may enjoy cleaner sound without the bass bloat. Can be posted at buyers expense. Item: Leak Troughline 3 FM tuner, $20 donation to SNA Location: Melbourne Price: $450 Item Condition: used but with packaging, documentation and original receipt from 1964! Reason for selling: Leaving the hobby Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Works. I do not think the display changes to blue as it is meant to when a station is found. Suitable for immediate enjoyment but will benefit from a going over sometime in the future. I can put you onto someone in Melbourne who specialises in Troughlines and mpx decoders. Can be posted at buyers expense. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved. Sorry yes, it is set to 240v, as per the photo I just added of the rear of the unit. The plug is japanese, so one needs to either use an adaptor (as I have done for the short time I have had it in use), fit an aussie plug to the captive lead, or change out the captive lead. Red MacKay
George Lazenby - still my favourite ever 007. His performance was real and totally believable.
StereoInOz
Shame you are getting out of audio. Looks like you had a nice set-up. For the Rives, do you have the BARE software and microphone to calibrate and does the software run on Windows 10? The manual method is beyond my technical knowledge, but I am OK with a computer and microphone ...
lazenby
No that was an accessory. I only have the test CD. I have much faith in the human ear and teat tones as instruments especially for the lower registers.
lazenby
The buyer for the Accuphase P102 got cold feet so it is back on the market. Their loss is your gain! I have lots of interest from interstate but seeing as the amplifier is a full 23kg I would much prefer a local VIC buyer with collection in person. As before, first in first served.
