Very nice to see some serious music love re-asserting it's lovely head on this forum.
Well done @ Progladyte for giving an I.V. drip to the PROG. 101 thread, and @Batty for this beauty that even I could not resist.

First 6 are my desert island discs, with only AXIS and LOGOS alternating as number one.
Others are in no particular order, and do not include classical or weird ( of which I have much).

Tangerine Dream - LOGOS
Jimi Hendrix Experience - AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE
Simple Minds - SONS and FASCINATION
Black Sabbath - SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH
Joni Mitchell - HEJIRA
The Beatles - SERGEANT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND  ( whatever happened to those losers??)

Jimi Hendrix Experience - ELECTRIC LADYLAND
Pink FLOYD - UMMA GUMMA
Pink FLOYD  - WISH YOU WERE HERE
Mackenzie Theory - OUT OF THE BLUE
Masters Apprentices - CHOICE CUTS
Marc Benno - MINNOWS
John Mayall - BARE WIRES
Keef Hartley Band - HALFBREED
Genesis - TRICK OF THE TAIL
KRAFTWERK - THE MAN MACHINE
Sandy Denny - The NORTH STAR GRASS AN AND THE RAVENS
The Doors - WAITING FOR THE SUN
FAIRPORT Convention - LIVE: FULL HOUSE
Mark Gillespie- NOTHING SPECIAL
Big Brother and The Holding Company - CHEAP THRILLS
Jefferson Airplane - AFTER BATHING AT BAXTERS
U.F.O. - STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT.
RUSH - GRACE UNDER PRESSURE.

....wow, that took me back, but I can remember why each of those were special, and continue to sooth/ charm/ excite/mystify me.
One to take with me into the emerald beyond - LOGOS.

Billy.

Nice one @Batty ?

Numbered but in no order

1. Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms (my dads go to driving album)

2. RUN DMC - Raising Hell (the first album I bought with my own money)

3. Beastie Boys - Pauls Boutique

4. Janes Addiction - Ritual de lo Habitual

5. Pearl Jam - Ten

10. Urge Overkill - Exit the Dragon

11. Radiohead - OK Computer

12. U2/Eno - Passengers soundtrack album

13. The Cruel Sea - The Honeymoon is Over

14. The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

15. Kyuss - ...And the Circus Leaves Town

16. Metallica - And Justice for All

17.  Clutch - (self titled) I only put in one Clutch album but could list 6

18. Rage Against the Machine - (self titled)

19. Soundgarden - Superunknown

20. Public Enemy - Fear of a Black Planet

21. Tool - Lateralus

22. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

23. Massive Attack - Protection

24. Mastodon - Leviathan

I pumped out the first 20 pretty easily, then stressed out about the last 4. I put only 2 'classics' (Dire Straits & Beach Boys) as i was aware enough to know these albums made an impact on me. I discovered other classics later in life (Rumours, Stg Peppers, Abbey, Ziggy etc) and my above list led back to them.

I see my choices as albums that were a major part of life at a certain time whilst also being great listenable albums. Anyway - that was fun ??

Fun is what this is all about.

Clutch, yes, great band, but did not have much influence on my life.

Glad you enjoyed the idea, I can see from your choices that you are younger than me.

RC was an only child.

Anyway, I cannot say why in public. it is nothing bad at all ( in fact the polar opposite) just very private, but I can say that he was a friend of my then family.
