We are particularly looking forward to seeing and hearing the release of Wharfedale's premium Elysian series. Comprising of a larger standmount and floorstanding speaker option, these look set to upset the apple cart with stunning looks, performance and importantly attractive pricing, just like the rest of the Wharfedale series. How good do they look in Walnut? Just landed before Xmas into store, the new Evo 4 Series have been garnering some incredible critical acclaim among the audiovisual media. We've had our first taste recently, and amazed at the performance of these. A HUGE AMT ribbon tweeter on a speaker that sells just north of 1K? Impressive. The Evo 4.1 and 4.4 are in-store now for audition. Wharfedale Elysian are due into Australia in February. Mark Krause Posted March 18, 2020 Share Posted March 18, 2020 I've had a good listen to the 4.4's after a friend purchased a pair after the Stereonet Melbourne Hi-Fi 2019 show and I can say these are a good speaker at a reasonable price in today's audio market. I would not only be happy to recommend them to anyone who is starting out and has a large enough space to place them but also I could happily live with these for a good many years.
