Hi all,

Just a quick question, how do I go about reposting an unsold item in the classifieds? Do I have to redo the ad entirely or am I able to re-list my original ad? Thanks in advance for the help

Yes you have to re post the ad manually.

One day I'll work out a way to code in a more automated process.

Hi There.

I need some help from the Stereonet Community

How do you relist an item in the classifieds? Do you need to start the listing again from scratch?

Yes, you need to start a new thread, fill in the fields (correctly and accurately else the ad will not be approved).

You cannot just copy/paste the entire ad.

Thanks Marc, that’s what I thought the only option was but thought I would check to see if I was doing the right thing

I'm currently working on a way to allow users a single-click method of reposting their ads once they expire at the moment. No ETA yet.

Sort of related question, I notice the “total ads value” number is from March 2020. Does that include relisted ads? In other words, are they potentially included multiple times ?

That is correct Trevor. It's just a total of the value of all ads, Current, Sold and Expired, that have been advertised since March this year. Can't drill down on that one further unfortunately. It's taken a fair bit of work just to be able to get this information. I find it interesting.

I've been watching the Total Sales Value dropping each day (rolling 14 days total), as people have tightened up and stopped non-essential spending, I guess.

Just wondering can an expired ad be reposted? Or do you have to go through the whole process again.

if so how is it done.

Hi,

Copy your old ad (highlight, copy) and paste it into a new ad.

Not exactly. Create a new ad and fill in the fields.

You cannot copy/paste your old ad, else the fields won't get populated.
