Mmmm ... I suspect it will knock your EAR out of the park! ;)

Andy

I would hope so and expect so :)

Would it find your muse amusing  :D

@@andyr

Remember it wasn't really an EAR after TL's work on the circuit, and It's an Octal version to boot....so far removed from an EAR :)

Aah, that's "horses for courses", Ian! :D  Duc's phono stage has that gorgeous tube 'liquidity' that good tube gear has.  So if that's your key selection criterion for a phono stage ... Duc's will float your boat!  :thumb:

Me, though, much as I love listening to it (when I go over to Duc's place), I prefer the better resolution of leading edge transients which the Muse delivers.

Ha ha

Lifeless, sterile, cold & clinical

Mmmm, OK, so if Metal beat's PASS phono has more mid-range definition than my Muse ... you would say his must be even more "sterile, cold and clinical"?  :P

I don't think Shane would agree with you.  :D

Pity we aren't all in the same city!

Edit: even if mine was beaten by all comers, it would still be fun.

Just bought this cool puppy! I'm really looking forward to receiving it. Still need to get my hands on a SUT. Built by a cool dude in Wellington. It's base on a Bruce Heran tube design which I don't know a lot about but I'm sure it'll sound sweet. Here's a few specs....

4 x 12AX7 tubes

1 x 12AT7 tube
Mammoth, separate power supply - well over spec'd for this design.
Twin highly-regulated HT and filament supplies.
large and lovely ClarityCap and NOS paper-in-oil K75-10 capacitors in audio path.
