FS: Ayre Acoustics CX-7eMP CD Player - Price lowered

Recommended Posts

Item: Ayre Acoustics CX-7eMP
Location: Bathurst
Price: $1750 - I’ve been told my original price was to high.  I will consider reasonable offers
Item Condition: Good used condition - see images
Reason for selling: Most of my CD collection has now been ripped and I am using Roon to distribute sound through the house. Since I am selling my AX-7e I thought I should also sell the matching CD player.
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: As with my AX-7e I always thought this would be my end game CD Player.  Then someone got me into Roon and whilst the sound quality of Roon through my Auralic Vega doesn’t quite reach the standard of this CD player, I can live with the slight reduction in quality.

it’s hard to describe just how good (and different) this CD player sounds compared with just about anything else I have listened to. The presentation is natural, without any exaggeration, relaxed, beautiful renditions high frequencies. In my opinion it works best on the balanced outputs, the unbalanced outputs are not bad, balanced is just better.

this in an original Australian (240V) unit.  I don’t have the original packing or manual.  It comes with a third party remote that operates all its functions.

i will throw in a spare (new) laser/drawer unit which I purchased in case I have problems with the unit (I never have).

Item: Astell & Kern AK300 DAP
      Location: Melbourne
Price: Paid $1299, asking $600 firm
      Item Condition: Brand new
      Reason for selling: Not used
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
      Extra Info:
Up for sale is this new/unused AK300 which I bought from Addicted to Audio in Aug, 2016. I had the intention of using this player with a pair or Campfire Audio Andromeda IEM's, but found it more convenient to use my Iphone with my busy lifestyle. Hence this unit and & the Andromeda iem's have just been sitting in their boxes unused since. I auditioned a demo AK300 and Andromeda IEM's extensively at ATA and they proved to be a good combo. The AK300 has good resolution and is on the warm side, whilst the Andromeda iem's are neutral, natural and airy.

This DAP has 64GB internal memory (expandable to 256GB via microSD card). The player supports all popular audio formats, incl: WAV, FLAC, WMA, MP3, OGG, APE(Normal, High, Fast), AAC, ALAC, AIFF, DFF, DSF, DSD 64/128 & MQS. There are also a range of genuine Astell & Kern accessories available to get the most from this player, incl: a headphone amp, recorder, charging cradle & CD-ripper. Whilst firmware updates are available to keep the player up to date.
