Denon 3808 what is a fair price to sell

Recommended Posts

Hi am wanting to sell my Japanese made Denon 3808 AVR.

Cannot find recent advertisments online, wondering what would be a fair price to sell it for?

Cheers

I've seen Denon AVR 4308 sell for $500, bigger brother of 3808. I'd go with at least $400 if it's in good condition.

hmm from selling a 3808 a while ago, when atmos was just becoming popular, that $250-300 range is about it now days, if lucky.

there is one on gumtree for $720.. yeah sure and the 4308 will get about $350. real world you can get a yammy rxv685 new with warranty for $699. sorry its no contest.

obsolete is obsolete and only a very few will want it.

@Arry74, I sold mine last year on ebay. From memory the guy had one already and wanted this for a kids party or something. Under $200 plus fees.

I bought mine new in 2007/8 and it cost $2-3k from memory and was in perfect condition with the two controllers, papers etc. It is what it is I'm afraid and you simply wont get much.

A great receiver in its day but yeh $250 would be about its worth.

people also forget that the Denon 3 series of old is the 4 series of today.
