Whatmough Monitors 201

- Kevlar inverted dome tweeters

- Air-cored coils / German polypropylene capacitors

- 25mm thick, braced cabinets

- Internally lined with 13mm bituminised panels (not lead-lined)

- Vacuum sealed in storage for over a decade

- Speakers are spotless and present as new

- Original typed Owners Manual and factory brochure included

- Solid steel, fully welded stands custom made by Dereck Brock of Audiofurn in Perth

- Set of feet for hard floors and set of spikes for carpet

- There is sufficient adjustment at feet of stands to maintain driver phase correction at different listening distances

- Inspection welcome

- No boxes so local pickup preferred, though happy to work with your choice of freight carriers if shipping is required

I'm punching the numbers, cooking the books...... nope can't afford it pre christmas. too many kids in the family to buy presents for this year.

 

Someone in WA will be blown away with these speakers at this price. Not sure why anyone would choose a new imported speaker under $1k over this.

If anyone is interested in a scan of the manual (which has some interesting comments from Colin on setup and compatibility), or of the brochure (which has some insights into construction and components), I'm happy to scan and circulate.

Also, I recently upgraded to leadlined 202s purchased from SNA member BATMAQN and worked through the shipping options. Suffice to say it isn't as expensive as you'd imagine.  I'd be happy to share that experience with anyone considering interstate shipping.
