Guest Posted November 10, 2019 Share Posted November 10, 2019 (edited) When you get tired of being treated politely by the local Thai people, pop into Siam Paragon and go to the second floor where Focal is located - they will treat you like dirt with the best of them - sad to see really given how willing Thai audio types are prepared to share their sound equipment. We we’re looking at equipment in anticipation of retiring to Thailand in the near future - every store with the exception of this one has been super helpful. I was snubbed at the Linn store. If you haven't already there is also Fortune Town especially and Amarin Plaza that have some great stores. My first visit to Thailand was 1992 and we stayed opposite the ‘Sugo’ Department Store on Ploenchit Road - one store had a Goldmund Reference table in the window - I can remember it to this day. The Thais make some of there own gear like Silk Audio (SAC) and Magnet / Marsh in addition to the TS Audio tube gear you mentioned. I remember a large 3 way speaker being made there years ago that was some of the best sound I had heard in a long time - no longer made, I will go through my photos to see if I have any of the said beasts.
