Yes indeed. I am taking my time to work out what I want to say so I have a better chance. I want to make it original and different but catchy.🤔

What was your moniker before 'metal beat', Shane?  I know I'm getting old - but I can't remember that you ever had a different one.  :(

It had something to do with Yamaha...does that jog your memory Andy?

As for the comp: My first entry, "Mrs Mills of course and Jumbo Party 2 is the album...vinyl heaven."

My second entry via a online doppleganger.

"Miles Davis Blue

And on the turntable these words appear:
My name is Yamaha, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Keats said something similar once I believe.

You just wiped yourself out from winning, L!  Yamaha couldn't bear the embarrassment of having to admit they gave the wonderful TT to someone who played Mrs Mills on it.

Percy Bysshe Shelley, ma man! :P  I could say something about 'banana benders' ... but I won't.  :)

There is a great BBC doco on Mrs.Mills, where many speak very highly of her (incl. Rick Wakeman, there is a great moment when he has great distain for one of her album cover designs in comparison to her other's).

Yeah? Really! Great! I'm going searching for it. Rick 'I can drink you under the table' Wakeman is the man.

Thanks for that info

It's not on the BBC player, but this is what to look for.  You'll be "Glad" you did!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01n21d2

And while you are at it, check out the Mrs.Mills Experience, who feature in the doco, I loved their "Roll out the barrell" (reminded me of my grandmother playing it on her piano, Mrs.Mills style, with her arthritic hands, I only heard her play her piano once).   http://www.mrsmills.org/

And I'm sure the Yamaha turntable will make almost any record (in good condition) sound fantastic, it was nice at the show.

Part of the reason I bought the album was because the guy in the bottom-left is a dead-ringer for my father-in-law in years gone by.  He even has a similar photo taken at the Cookoo restaurant with one of the waitresses sitting on his lap!

And Glad (Mrs.M) certainly knows how to pound those keys!
