The “FL” means filterless. “The basic idea is to avoid all digital filtering, which is generally thought imperative to avoid aliasing distortion at ultrasonic frequencies, and instead use multi-bit conversion at the native data rate (no up-or oversampling).” The only reason I upgraded was for the extra inputs. Otherwise I have been really happy with this unit. Comes with Eversure power supply. No original box, but I can securely box it for postage.
