FS: Magneplanar MG 20.7 Loudspeakers.

Recommended Posts

Item:  Magneplanar 20.7 Loudspeakers
Location:  Melbourne
Price:   $13,500 $12,000
Item Condition:  Excellent
Reason for selling:  Upgraded
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info:

Purchased from Bill McLean in August 2015.

The price includes:

1 pair sand filled Mye Stands. (Value $1000)

4 Synergistic Research speaker jumpers (Value $400).  Do not use the metal clips which come with the speakers, the sound is crap with those.

1 pair Synergistic Research Red fuses.  (value $200).

1 pair Telos fuses. (Value $380?  I can't remember the exact price but it is top of the line Telos fuse and equivalent of SR Black fuse.)

The fuses are essential to get best performance.

Many have heard these speakers at my GTGs.  You will not find a better speaker package at anywhere near this price.

I hereby tender my resignation from the Flat Panel Society.

I will be joining the Horny Brigade.

Too much is said about these speakers needing a large room to sound best.  That could be said about many speakers.  These speakers will sound good in medium to large rooms.  Some rooms are better than others.  A good medium room will be better than a large bad room.  It's not about size, it's about set up.

It was hard to focus on the speakers. I was getting distracted for some reason. The lava lamp is strategically placed. GLWS.

He would need to halve that price first. Insanely over priced.

At least the speakers are big enough to fashion him a casket. He will buried with them at that price.

Different speakers have different resale values.  I discussed value with Bill McLean before putting up for sale.  Those speakers are probably rubbish, which is why they have low resale values.  Good products hold their value.

Sorry mate I wasn't referring to your speakers. My comments were regarding the JBL speakers linked above.

No worries.  I thought the posts relating to those speakers were suggesting my price was too much compared to the JBL.  I don't overprice my gear.  I've had to put up with a lot of crap on my Koetsu posting.

I have no idea what the value of the jbl's are.

Peter I think the price of your panel's is a very good price ,please don't read between the lines.

I think jbl's would be  great because of the large space you have.

I have been to your place with @djb and @ghost4man and felt that large speakers would be a better

choice to fill the room .

Peter
