Recommended Posts

Item: JVC X5000 projector
Location: Perth
Price: $2500 + Shipping (approx $50 i would say)
Item Condition: Excellent, roof mounted since i've had it. Smoke free home. Remote is basically new as i use universal remote
Reason for selling: Potential upgrade depending on sale of this projector, but happy to keep it if no one is interested.
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (you pay paypal fees) or bank transfer. Paypal preferred
Extra Info: EOI at this stage.

Lamp Hours: Been a while since i checked, was 487 when i took the photo just over a year ago. Hasn't had a great deal of use since the baby has arrived,  I assume 700-800hrs on original bulb, can confirm if there is interest.

Has been professionally calibrated and puts out a very impressive 4k image. 1080p looks amazing as well. Upgrade bug is a painful thing! individual colour profiles and custom gamma curves for different sources.

Projector comes with original box and all accessories. No 3D transmitter/glasses as i dont care for that side of things.

Setup in a light controlled room if someone local would like a demo
Can provide more photos upon request. These are just photos i had on my phone, can upload higher res files if requested.

Reading a review on this model they claimed that gaming was not really possible with an input lag of 100ms.

Have you found it to be okay for gaming?

I’ve had this model. Gaming is just fine on this - and other JVCs without game mode - unless you are playing competitive online games that require very quick response times.

I quite happily gamed with daughter on x7000 version and previous gen x35 it was fine. Kind of stuff was first person, car racing and other world exploring type games eg zootycoon and such. Unless a hard core gamer that lives dies on this stuff it was all good. If so hard core and spending your days on gaming probably unlikely use a projector anyways :)

I'm not much of a gamer, but did have a PlayStation setup for a while. I enjoyed racing games and it worked fine for my eyes.

As above, i think as long as you are not competitive gaming it will be fine.

Item: 1080p Full HD Home Cinema Projector
      Price Range: Up to $1500
      Item Condition: New or Used
      Extra Info:
I am currently on the look out for a brand-name 1080p Full HD home cinema projector in good condition. I’ve been looking at the Epson, Panasonic and Sony range second-hand, but also interested in other good alternatives. LCD or DLP, although I am wary of bad experiences with second hand LCD projectors (e.g. vertical lines) so more recent models if possible. Located in Melbourne.

Price: $260 Item Condition: Used, but in excellent condition (like new) Shipping Options: Shipping is included in price. Suburb or Town: Seaford State: Victoria Payment Method: PayPal / EFT Reason for selling: Purchased for review and not to my taste Further information: An amazing piece of engineering - full metal housing with swiveling nozzles for over-ear or straight-down cable, changeable nozzles for tuning, etc. Lots to like if you're into a clean, slightly analytical sound. The drivers in these are clearly top notch in terms of the quality they deliver - it was just the tuning I didn't enjoy so much.
      Here's the blurb from Drop:
The Drop community has been asking for a higher-end single dynamic driver IEM for years. So, we teamed up with JVC to make it happen. Based on the popular JVC HA-FD01, the Drop + JVC HA-FDX1 DUAL CARBON IEM employs the same premium metal housing as the original, with new tunings based on community-favorite modifications. The key to the remarkable sound is the large 11-millimeter dynamic drivers. Because of their size, they’re able to move air more easily for a clean, punchy sound with an effortless bass kick—similar to what you’d hear in much larger speakers. To really make the IEM your own, we’re including three pairs of newly developed stainless steel nozzles: one for the stock sound and two for a modded sound based on testing by the audiophile community.
Also, I'm new here on Stereo.net, but a long time member and trader over on Head-Fi (Loquah) and have strong trader feedback on eBay (Lach05)
Sorry about the dust in the eartip shot!

Just in time for the 2020 Summer Games, TK850 home entertainment projector takes full advantage of 4K HDR broadcasts of live sporting events to deliver breathtaking realism on a grand scale.
“The TK850 brings together all of our cutting-edge technologies and expertise to breathe real life into watching fast-paced sporting and competitive events,” said Martin Moelle, Managing Director of BenQ Australia. “There is no better way to enjoy the action than on the big screen, especially if you can’t be there in person.”

Sports Mode also boosts its CinemaMaster Audio+2 10-watt chambered sound system for visceral enjoyment of the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, accentuating the announcer’s commentary as well as the roar of the crowd.

Price: $2200 Item Condition: Excellent Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.,Pickup available and you can audition.,Shipping is included in price. Suburb or Town: Essendon State: Victoria Payment Method: EFT (preferred), Cash on Pickup, Paypal Reason for selling: Upgrade Further information:
EDIT: Dropping the price a bit as I'd rather sell on here than Ebay/Gumtree if possible
Just over two years old and has been mounted in a (clean, no smoking or pets) theatre room since purchase. Never been removed from the mount since install, so it’s in pretty much perfect condition.
I’ve had zero issues with the projector, it’s been fantastic, and I’m really only upgrading because a), I’m an idiot, and b) I recently got a bonus from work and feel like splurging.
It has been professionally calibrated but I guess that’s calibrated to my room (pretty much pitch black) and screen.  Regardless I won’t factory reset it unless you want me to.

Almost 3000 hours on the lamp so will
need a new one soonish (around $129 new). Lamp is rated to between 3500 and 5000 hours) just bear that in mind.
Any other questions or pertinent info I’ve missed, just hit me up!
I’d much rather pickup (we can work around the virus and stay safe), or if you’re close-ish I can deliver, just because it’s a bit of a pain in the butt, and a little risky, to post a massive projector, but I’ll do that if need be.
