Although the smaller board is the type used in 2015-2017 kits For consistency and for everything to work well, the new main board is by far the best option. Can you let me know the ohm value of the Bourns pot, it should be 50k. The latest board connects with 12v AC. the only other change will be to use the alternate start connection, which wires from the main board second receptacle of the side top block to Volume UP. Thanks, Chris. Hasn't arrived yet, but will soon. Thinking now to go the wall wart or AC transformer way, as batteries can be a bit of a pain if needing to recharge just when you want to listen. So that sounds perfect. I'll compensate you for any boards you would like to send, and appreciate the connection directions with it/them if you can.
