B&W 686 S2 vs. XT2 speakers

Hey Guys. 

 

Just want to ask if someone heard already the B&W 686 S2 and XT2 speakers? 

 

I read that the XT2 have the same driver as 686 S1. 

 

I could get one pair of these, but unfortunately I don't have the possibility to listen to then. 

 

I don't have a good knowledge about speakers. Could be there not a real difference? I mean the XT2 were more expensive,  but if they have the same driver as the 686 S1, Could it be that the 686 S2 are better (new technology etc). 

 

I don't have much space in our unit,  therefore I can only use small bookshelf speakers as fronts speakers.
