Festooned Posted September 15, 2019 Share Posted September 15, 2019 (edited) For people's info: These are nice little guys that were also made to measure well in triode-connected mode (they are pentodes). Telecom Australia used them in repeaters in days long gone. I know of one German chap that used them in a nice headphone amp and another that used them in pentode mode to drive 300bs - with some success. You'll need loctal sockets to use them but it's hard to find such a long life, high quality tube at the money they sell for. I dare say they'd give 6SN7s a run for their money in triode linearity and plate dissipation (at 3.5W) is about the same as a 6SN7GT. Great sounding, tough little tubes. GLWTS.
