Cheers @Eagleeyes, nice to hear from a few of you who have had first hand experience with Axis speakers. I have had many years of enjoyment from these and couldn't have made a better investment for the money at the time IMO. I'm hoping these will find a good home with someone getting into hi-fi, not a bad place to start that's for sure..

I love my Axis speakers. Lovely sound. I have the LS88 and LS28 still in mint condition after nearly 20 years. Only change the midrange foam of the LS88 recently through Lens Wallis. Drivers are as good as new and John Reilly had a look at them when he came to my place.

Nice setup @Odyssey, thanks for sharing..  I did try to find some second hand LS88’s at one stage but gave up as there isn’t a lot in Perth obviously, the whole LS line was great in any case.

I actually stayed with Axis upon upgrading (and not due to blind brand loyalty) I bought the Axis VoiceBox S after auditioning them at Wyn’s listening room (Simply Hi-Fi). They made product of the month there and it was obvious to see why! Great to see Reilly and Serhan collaboration on this design, brilliant result. I should note these puppies do

like a powerful amp behind them to bring out their best. (No pics as my system is packed up currently 😑)

I bought and sold a pair of Axis Voicboxes too, I loved them but they helped take a chunk out of a trade on a bigger item so off they went. They were very good again from Wyn. I still get shocked when I lift up my old Axis small bookshelves (no idea of model presume LS28 on size of numbers only) as they weigh age least 10 kilos each, anyway we are diverting thread from sale to a degree or maybe reinforcing to potential buyer.

buy them they are amaze balls for the price.😁

@Nicolai , I have the Axis Voicebox S too. Very revealing monitor without the glare. Very engaging to listen to. I drive my Axis speakers with Redgum Rgi120enr, Sansui au alpha 907mr and Sansui au-717.  All powerful and enough grunt to drive those speakers.

GLWTS. Your LS38 seems in very good condition and the price is pretty cheap. 🙂

Wow @arthurp..that’s some seriously nice gear behind your Voiceboxes with that setup 😃 must be a real joy.

I got the PS Stellar 700 mono blocks driving mine controlled by a PS DirectStream as a pre amp and DAC plus a few other bits n pieces...including a Rhythmic Audio 12inch servo sub, can’t wait to set it all up again!

Nice choice, great speakers. Looking at your setup there I think your speakers are just begging for some iso accoustic speaker stands to get them off that table.. I tried it with some other monitors I own and was super impressed with the result

Item Condition: GOOD Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available. Suburb or Town: VIC 3030 State: VIC Payment Method: Cash Reason for selling: NLR Further information:

Selling nice condition of Michell Syncro Turntable. It has fitted with brand new Audio Technica Tonearm (from LP-5 TT) + Nagaoka MP110 MM Cartridge (Ran between 200 ~ 300 hours)

Audio Technica Tonearm base is exact same dimension as Syncro tonearm mounting base so it was good match. At present, it is set up to go with Nagaoka Cart and VTA seem spot on. Most of modern MM cartridge might be fine without changing VTA. Some MC cartridge with taller body may need adjustment either using different  thickness of platter mat or using headshell shim.

If new owner wants to change the tonearm with higher end or fixed headshell type then it is easy job. Just unmount current tonearm and entire tonearm and wire will come off and mount alternative tonearm on accompanying original Michell mounting black acrylic circular board (last photo) that cater any 9" tonearm.

Motor has recently conditioned and lubricated and running silently and smoothly.  Rubber Belt is used but still good condition.

Cosmetic condition is good for the age. it is not spotless, just out of box condition. There are some marks and scratches on dustcover and clear acrylic plinth but not very noticeable.

This is suspended turntable with delicate parts so Pick Up Only.

      Thank you....

I bought this in late 2015 for approx $2300. Used mainly for media file storage and back up for my PC. I never ran this 24/7 only when it was being used.

This has 6GB RAM as I installed an extra 4GB module when purchased. It is running the latest version of Synology Disk Station Manager (DSM).

NOTE: Synology NAS using the Intel Atom C2538 Quad Core 2.4GHz had a processor bug which caused the DSXX15+ models to fail after a few thousand hours. This unit has been repaired and runs perfectly (100 ohm resistor added).

      Diskless: $1200 (NAS only)
      NAS + 3 x WD Red Pro 4TB hard drives (in RAID 5):  $1600

NOTE: The 3 x WD Red Pro discs (7200rpm) have approx 8000, 6000 and 4000 hrs usage respectively. In RAID 5 one disc can fail and no data is lost. In RAID 5 there is approx 7,300 GB of usable storage.

      Shipping/Pickup:
I would prefer pickup (I'm in Bayside, MEL), however I do have the original shipping box. Shipping and insurance to be paid by buyer (PayPal).

The Zesto Audio Andros 1.2 Phonostage is a wonderful sounding piece of kit. It is totally quiet, transparent and just sweeps you into the music. I cannot over-emphasise how quiet it is, more so than some much lauded solid-state amps that I've tried to unsuccessfully pair with some very low output MC cartridges (eg. Lyra SL variants, Gold Note Tuscany etc.) It very much allows the delicacy, dynamics and shimmer of these top flight cartridges to shine through.
Excellent reviews on it can be found here: http://positive-feedback.com/reviews/hardware-reviews/zesto-andros/ and here: http://www.hifiplus.com/articles/zesto-audio-andros-12-vacuum-tube-phonostage-preamplifier/

This was purchased from the Australian distributor, and is complete with manuals, ground wire, power cable and cotton gloves (for handling the tubes).

I have been in two minds about selling this, as it is a wonderful phono stage, which I no longer need for now.
