Hi Oleg, you mentioned in another thread that it was running hot and good for keeping the house warm in winter. Is this class A or AB? I can only find info on the 509x but not o 509u ?

The photos are definitely showing the  507u which is A/B.

It's VU metres are blue illuminated and really should never run so hot as to warm the room.

I have a Class A model and it gets warmish, but never hot.  When I owned the 507 it was never more than luke warm even after being on for hours.

The 509u is an older model.    The x is the latest model that replaced the 509u in 2018.  If you look at the back panel of each, they are very different.

ps - no idea what @rantan is talking about. It is a 509u, not a 507u. he must be back on the turps xD

Nope, not a drop, just a good old fashioned typo?

I meant it is running hotter compare to Sansui, Rotel, Cambrige Audio and so on I have had.  My old Luxman LV-105u is getting hotter than 509u.   Luxman Class A amps getting even more hotter.

This is AB amp.

Actually initially I bought  507U but after a couple of days I decided to pay extra to replace it with 509U. Then I was happy.
