6 channels (or 3) power amps, best suited for multi-amp HIFI stereo setup (not HT)

Recommended Posts

Let's build a list of nice 6 channels (or 3) power amps, best suited for multi-amp HIFI stereo setup (not HT), it can be vintage or current in production.

Thanks :)

I assume you mean active multi-amping of these 3-way speakers?  IE. the passive XO has been removed?

If so - you need to tell us what the nominal ohm rating of each of your drivers is.  For instance - many amps which are good for 4 or 8 ohm tweeters would undoubtedly not be able to drive my 2 ohm Maggie ribbons.

Yes, multi amp 3 way speakers, active crossovers.

Here's the specs of the horn tweeter, compression driver of the radial horn, and 12" woofer:

I'm researching for 6 channel power amps to amplify all drivers, (active crossover will be need of course), but also have interest for amps dedicated only for the horn tweeter and radial horn...

Dreaming with this for amplify all drivers:  http://www.accuphase.com/historys/pdf/px-600e.pdf

But recently I discovered the Pioneer M-73, appears to be a very well made amp from Pioneer from 90's years Elite Series, 4 channels, class a and class ab operational selector, thinking that 2 M-73 can be a good option for amplify the horn tweeters and radial horns in class a operation.

I opened to receive more suggestions, thanks!

PS: I just don't have interest in Pro Audio amps..
