Item Condition: Used, but very good Reason for selling: Upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Here is your opportunity to dip your toes into the world of well shielded power cables with Australian AC plugs, without having to sell a kidney or trade your first born! SUPRA LoRad cable is constructed with 3 x 2.5 mm2 tin-plated copper conductors, hence the need for the larger Clipsal or Furutech AC plugs. The main difference between the LoRad Mk I and Mk II versions is in the shielding - the Mk II has a Carbon/Nylon shield which has a drain-wire connected along its total length. I know there are plenty of ‘experts’ on the net that will tell you to how to connect the drain wire, but I sought the advice of a very experienced local audio electronics specialist who has built or repaired a number of items for me over the years, and it is on his recommendation that I have connected the drain wire at the IEC end. So, how do they sound? Better than your standard cables - most definitely. In my system (running Cymer mono blocks, Oracle Delphi turntable, Creek CD), there was better articulation and separation – much cleaner all round. How will they sound in your system? As is the case with interconnects between components, these cables may behave differently depending on what you are plugging them in to – power amplifiers, preamplifier, digital or analogue source components. If anything, I would suggest the Mk II cables would match better with solid state gear, but that is more to do with the difference between the characteristics of the Clipsal and Furutech AC plugs than the cable itself. Local pickup is preferred, but I will post at buyers expense. patrol42td
Well, This ad has certainly caused a bit of a commotion. I think I have responded to all the PM's in the order of receipt. At this stage the MkII cables are sold pending payment and pickup. As I get further responses I will update the ad - thanks for your interest. For those that missed out on the SUPRA cables, I still have the VH Audio Flavor cables that were advertised in early July available.
