Two more snaps my brother caught on his land near Bendigo. The middle tawny is one he raised from a little one. And now the territory hosts his own flock. ( There are three in that snap.)

The other little critter is known as a " possum owl" - rather nocturnal, rather rare, and a little spooky in a beautiful way.

I'm not a bird lover per se.....  its just so hard to get a photo of them.  My current challenge is to get a good image of the local Wedgetail's.

sorry they are not all as sharp as I wanted them to be.  If someone can identify the others below that would be great. The last one is a falcon and before that maybe a swamp harrier?  The two in the middle ...no idea.

Cold on the walk next door today, but  was totally worth it as I did see what I think is a Shining Bronze-cuckoo for the first time.

Just moved into our area...young kookas...and have stayed around for a month so far.

Here is one in the bottle-brush shrub watching me as I do some gardening today...

Every morning early starts with a hearty chuckle...they keep the local noisy miners honest..

Cold windy walk this morning, some birds are now starting to reappear.

This Eastern Spinebill was busy on a grevillea and performed a hummingbird type hover to reach flowers at the end of a branch.

More practice needed, more speed, more light, but take what you can get at the time.
