How did the GIYA's sound driven by the Relentless amps? It might be difficult when you try to bring the Air Force Zero in as hand luggage Spoke to the guy who spent 5 hours setting up the AFZ.Which one was the PMC. I will have a bigger listen time tomorrow....

rusty48
Arr Shane, the first espresso was excellent, the next tasted as if they’d forgotten the liqueur... Didn’t take pics day1, but the Octaves were yummy, as was a reel to reel I stood and dribbled over. Problem was I got stuck listening to the Campfire Andromeda special edition earphones that were shown for the first time. The bass and mids resolution and soundstage were awesome, as is the price. How do you get seven (!) drivers... I’m yet to hear the Solaris.

Kiat says hello to all and thanks for the support of the members of SNA.

rusty48
Ok, here we go. I completely forgot about the reel to reel, but Stump saved the day - it's on the rhs of his MBL pic. Comments before pics: Burmester make big shiny speakers and amps; don't reckon those girls would smile if you paid them; the three geniuses from Campfire Audio presented the new Andromeda special edition earphones which have seven (how...?) drivers and sound superb; the local Campfire dealer (DMA) with my pair (they're that good - shipping August 20th), and no, I haven't heard the Solaris; EAR Acute 4 two box CD player; Mr Mark Doehmann of Continuum and Helix turntables fame with fanboy; the thin screen was to show off an impressive hdmi cable (which it was, until I saw the Sony Bravia X9500G); the new Classé power amp has a mighty transformer, due for release October; the Viva amp was _such_ a funky orange; couldn't resist the Duntech Senator crossover; the Fyne (from Scotland) loudspeakers (3 new models) were indeed fine driven by A/B Accuphase; and lastly a peek at some Accuphase internals. The venue was up to its normal high standard, the only glitch being you can only buy your ticket one day at a time. And for Metalbeat's benefit, Stump walked! Cheers all!

Administrator Marc Posted August 13, 2019 Administrator Share Posted August 13, 2019 The Selby guys had already passed through into the Lounge went flights were cancelled so they were stuck for quite some time before they could out and back to a hotel again last night.
rusty48
Whoa, did they mention what time they checked in? What a pain being stuck in the Lounge (). Some of us don't rate for lounge access (). When were the flights cancelled? We checked in around 11:30 and flew at 2. There was some congestion (aka delay) with the number of planes coming and going, but as I said above, departures otherwise were as normal.
