Yamaha CD-5050

Recommended Posts

In the time I’ve been here, I’ve not once come across this particular machine been owned or even talked about, not even in the vintage nut threads 🤪

I owned one for over 15 years till I foolishly sold it because I was unemployed at the time and had no system to run it in (early days of Van life) so I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on it, was it a good machine for its time? I know it’s a rarity, but wouldn’t mind some informed other opinions on it. The thing I was impressed with at the time was it’s fast track searching, it used a magnetic drive to move the laser. I used to run it with an old Adcom GDA-600.
