Home theatre MOVIES ONLY Soundbar with 4K ATMOS rear wireless and Subwoofer out

Recommended Posts

I am downsizing :(

Lounge/dining  is 10m x 5m in a 1 bedroom unit

I want a soundbar for movies only

ARC (for TV)

ATMOS

4K - to an 55" OLED LG

Subwoofer out needed - for 2 x Buttkicker LFEs driven by a behringer 3000D

Wireless rear speakers

I have a velodyne 800i I would like to keep and use with the above as well as the Buttkicker LFE

Going into the soundbar is

HTPC

nvidia shield

TV via ARC

Size is not an issue, bigger the better as I have a footprint of 160cm wide x 30cm high x 50cm deep

Price - up to $2500 AUS

If downsizing and the new place is 10m x 50m only leaves wondering how big the larger place was :D

typo ? Will impact severely in suggestions ?

OOPS it was a typo 10 x 5m

I need to move away from separate receiver and speakers.

Ambeo is 4000 AUS, not within 2500 budget.

Even they is a massive room, I’d suggest a decent speaker set rather than sound bar for space like this

I agree that the room is huge!

Don't have soundbar but like and have recommended Yamaha ones. The YSP-5600 is over budget (using list prices) with the addition of the wireless kit but may fit your needs

Sorry but nothing exists that meets all those requirements - best Soundbar with Atmos is the Samsung 9 series ( $1999 RRP but can be got for less) - has much of what you want, wireless surrounds , ARC,  2 HDMI in optical in, 4k pass through wireless sub - sounds bloody good for a sound bar and goes loud - but no separate sub out.

You will need to lose Atmos to get a sub out - look at Bose or Sonos

I'd be more inclined to go a decent 2.1 setup with small bookshelves over a sound bar....

Maybe a Hattor Audio amp and some Lenehan bookshelves.... So much choice in bookshelves really.
