The balanced out on it is superb! Never a bad review any where on line and it's performance at this price is spectacular. Can be picked up in Canberra as well. I have a email from Wang (Auralic) that states the difference to the Mk II version (bugger all and not worth the upgrade if you already own Mk I). Either way, they are both stunning. According to the internet, they say the headphone jack is live when output goes out to an amp, so best to unplug. But best to check the Taurus forums. There is a pre version of the Taurus, not very great at the Headphone section, but the pre section is much better designed. hope that helps.
