This is a brand new unused Timestep bearing for the Technics SL-1200 & SL1210. I just received it from Dave at Timestep, but decided to go in a new direction while in transit. The price i've proposed is the price i paid less GST and shipping from the UK. So saving around $80.

Technics SL-1200 SL-1210 New Precision Audiophile Bearing

The standard bearing cannot keep the oil in place.  Instead a high viscosity "anti-fling" oil must be used.  "Other" bearings can only be "topped up" and the oil not actually replaced.  Imagine not being able to change the oil in your car, only adding a bit now and again

Why would you want to change the oil ?  Well we found a fairly heavy oil works best with the Funk Platter and thinner oil for very heavy platters.  But you have the choice, you can take our advice, or change the oil to whatever, whenever !  BTW, unlike others, our bearing fits the Funk platter perfectly, as it should !

The Timestep bearing has the spindle as a solid single piece of polished 303 Stainless Steel with a much larger base diameter and the bearing is polished PB102 Phosphor Bronze. A silicon nitride ball and PTFE thrust pad are fitted. The whole assembly is in a captive oil bath so that you can use more suitable thin oil, or any oil of your choice.

One image shows the Timestep bearing shaft on the left and the Technics on the right. The Technics bearing shaft has a cut out just below the brass part, resulting in a diameter of just 5.9 mm, the Timestep bearing shaft at this point is 10.4mm. This gives the Technics a critical bending moment around the reduced diameter.

The main part of the Technics shaft bearing surface is 7.1mm diameter and the Timestep one is 11.1mm which results in a bearing surface increase of nearly 2.5 times more (actually 2.445). And that's a lot!  The other image is looking down into the captive shaft bearing. At the bottom would normally be the P.T.F.E. thrust pad and the silicon nitride ball bearing, and a lot of very nice oil.

So with 1.76 times diameter at the weakest point and 2.5 times more bearing surface area, you can see why we get such great performance.

We deliberately use the existing Technics bearing housing because it fits properly and being cast has great strength and rigidity, also it does not ring like a brass bell.  It keeps the cost down too !

You don't need any special tools, you don't need to modify the PCB and you don't need to remove parts to get it to fit.  A simple Philips screwdriver is all you need and less than 15 minutes of your time.

This is the best selling Technics bearing, users have reported more solid bass, considerably better timing, greater soundstage and a general "feel good" sensation.

Item Condition: 7/10 - One IEM has some scuffing, Stock 3.5mm cable greenish Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.,Shipping is available at agreed cost. Suburb or Town: Vaucluse, 2030 State: New South Wales Payment Method: Paypal Friends & Family, Cash Reason for selling: Haven't used this in nearly a year, need funds to buy more records. Further information:
This is the FiiO FH5 Hybrid IEM which has amazing, deep bass thanks to dynamic bass driver, with crystal clear highs.
Low frequencies are deftly handled by a 10mm polymer nanocomposite dynamic driver, providing bass extension and quality beyond what you think is normally possible. Mid frequencies are produced by the Knowles ED30262 balanced armature driver, while high and ultra-high frequencies are created by the Knowles 31082

The stock cable has turned a greenish colour which doesn't affect sonic quality but I bought a 2.5mm replacement cable anyway.
The replacement cable has a very nice, high quality braid to it as hasn't shown any signs of wear or use.
Additionally, as the hard case isn't very portable and is meant more for transport then daily use, I ordered in the HB3 case from addicted.

Total cost of this package is $645

Note: The Tips that are missing are the Tips that were used.

There unused tips are: two sets of medium foam tips , Small and Large Balanced Tips, Medium Vocal Tips, Small Medium and Large bass tips.

Item Condition: Good, but a few small issues Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.,Shipping is available at agreed cost. Suburb or Town: Kelvin Grove, Brisbane State: Queensland Payment Method: Paypal, EFT, Cash on Pickup Reason for selling: Saving up for something else Further information: I purchased this recently from eBay, but it arrived with a few issues:

The internal plastic tab that keeps the deck in record mode is broken. I have the broken part, which could possibly be super-glued or 3d printed.  The unit works without it, but it means that you must keep the record lever pressed in whilst recording. FF/RWD doesn't always engage first time.   Everything else seems to be fine, but this unit will require a service and a little TLC. Comes with lid, strap and a/c adapter (euro plug) I recently ordered some nice 5" aluminium reels from the USA, and will forward these on to the buyer when they arrive (cost $150 landed).

Incredible tube, one of the best! I bought it based on the famous Dubstep Girls 5U4G recommendation. Used in my Woo Audio WA6, which is also for sale...magic!!!
      Reads as follows:
British tube made by GEC/MWT/Marconi/Osram, etc. I've also seen it branded under Mullard or Brimar. It should be compatible with most 5U4G amps (I have confirmed compatible with Woo WA22 and Stratus).  Mine has grey plates but I've also seen black plates as well as black base versions of this tube. Compared to the Western Electric 422A, I think this would be the second best rectifier tube available. Performance is almost the same as the Western Electric 422A, perhaps only being a little warmer and having a more euphonic tone/timbre/decay. However, it maintains its speed, transparency, layering, soundstage, and imaging. Like the WE422A, it's pretty much nearly perfect in every way and maintains a sort of neutrality throughout. Warm tube sound but with extended air and treble, great staging, deep bass extension, very nice texture and decay as well. Absolutely zero grain with this tube, just like the WE422A, one of the best tubes out there! Sound-wise, it's very similar and shares the same British tone and sound signature of the GEC 6AS7G power tubes. Great synergy with Sennheiser HD 800. Just like the WE422A, this tube can really bring you to tears on the right music, so much magic in the sound of legendary tubes. Price is slightly cheaper than the 422A.

Item Condition: 7/10 Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.,Shipping is available at agreed cost. Suburb or Town: Marrickville State: New South Wales Payment Method: Cash, EFT Paypal add 3% Reason for selling: Selling for Inlaws Further information: I'm selling for my inlaws a Definitive Technology SSA-50 which is a 5 channel sound bar as well as 2 x Definitive Technology Super Cube 3's and lastly the matching amplifier which is an RX-A840

It's been used sparingly as it was meant to be a spare room for when the kids (ours) came over to play. Was a pretty cool system with a playstation or for movies.

The SSA-50 retailed at the time for $2,700 the Super cubes I believe had been $1199 and the Amp was about the same. Just trying to get some funds in for them to move on to a new TV.

Please note - The Def Tech gear doesn't have boxes - I can likely find something if shipping is necessary. As for the yamaha still has it's box etc.

Up for sale is my SMSL SP200 Headphone Amplifier. I used this in my office setup before things started going south due to Covid.

I've used this amplifier to run everything from high-end IEM's (64 Audio U18T) through to high-end open back planars (Abyss 1266 TC) with great success. It is as close to wire with gain as I've heard - pitch black background, power, drive and control with incredible transparency to your source.

For the price the performance is absurd.

This particular unit comes with factory packaging and kettle cord.
