Gregory13
I have been using Mediago (Sony program) for a few years now and haven't found a problem but I don't use dsd or mqa files so not sure if it has those playback capabilities.

It does everythingSacd. Iso files...Which was the big thing for meAnd you can set it so it plays from the ram. Just doing this small thing made more of a difference than getting a very expensive power supply

I have been running Windows 10 with foobar2000 along with minimserver and linn kazoo (on my android devices) to push tidal and my locally stored music to my dac (topping d50) It works well about 50 % of the time. So basically wondering how everyone else has their software setup? I'm guessing most of you use Roon. I don't see that it's worth the money when minimserver and linn kazoo are free and do exactly the same thing? So does anyone use a Linux based system? Does anyone use something other than foobar2000 as their main audio player? Has anyone found a better phone controller than linn kazoo? Here's some of the things I want to be able to achieve.. Fast boot up. Conversion of everything to dsd because my dac can play dsd so why not Tidal mqa files Possibly deezer... Sacd is playback A nice remote gui for my android phone and tablet A splash top type remote desktop incase I need to tweak anything as the pc has no screen. If anyone has a nice setup they can tell me about then that would be great I use Linux Mint, and usually find exactly what is needed in Mints Software manager, browsing through there will be sure to bring you what you need. You can load Mint from a USB drive https://linuxmint.com/

Brett1968
Have you looked at MPD (www.musicpd.org), it has plugins for Tidal etc and there are Android GUI control apps. You can remote manage the system with SSH.
