The pre amp performs well and sounds great with any power amplifier. It features MM. The pre amp has been well cared for over the last 5 years and hasn't been exposed to any smoke or pets. I have moved to a valve set up hence the move away from solid state. ME pre amps are highly regarded and they outperform many other brands of pre amps costing way more of the price i'm asking for mine and the ME 25 rarely comes up for sale. I'm not sure what you mean by MC phono card separate? What you see advertised is how i received it from a fellow SNA'er. Would the MC phono card be a separate component?
