Bengineer
Whats some good recommendations? Enjoying Animals As Leaders at the moment, well have for a while. Weightless and Brain Dance are some favourites. Plini is also really good. Only has one album, but start to finish really good.

Only one album ... but lots of EPs. I prefer my (signed!) Trilogy CD (which combines 3 EPs) to Plini's actual album. awayward
This one is probably my all time favourite, recorded in analogue so the vinyl version is very nice, digital version is good also. Volto! - Incitare
tubularbells
Doesn't get any better than this gents. Grobschnitt - Solar Music Live Takes awhile to kick into gear but when it does strap yourself in for one hell of a ride.

Monk
Balloons Kill Babies is pretty good for a local band. https://balloonskillbabies.bandcamp.com/album/prodromal And Monkey3 can be a bit proggy at times (more so than say psych). https://monkey-3.bandcamp.com/album/sphere Edited June 14, 2019 by Monk

SkipEsquire
Prompted by someone's post in one of the various now playing threads I checked out the latest Pelican album that came out last weekish. Not exactly what I expected but it's been like 10years since I last heard a Pelican album. I enjoyed it nonetheless. https://pelicansl.bandcamp.com/album/nighttime-stories

If you like them chances are you will like them a lot. Fantastic snare sound, the old school deeper bodied snare. When I ordered a bunch of albums from them they wrote back personally, influenced one of my wife’s bands (Fell to Earth on bandcamp). Hymn 72 is a fine song to get your teeth into.
Darren69
My gut feeling is that anyone that enjoys prog rock and metal might also dabble in dark electronica.
