SOLD: Xavian Gran Colonna Floor standing Speakers

Recommended Posts

Item: Xavian Gran Colonna loudspeakers

Location: Inner Sydney

Condition: 8/10

Price: $400

Reason for selling: getting rid of second system to make room for kids.

Payment: cash on pick up (no postage)

Description:

Bought these beautiful small floorstanders on SNA a few months ago and used sparingly in second system.

Made in Europe by Italian manufacturers, they retail for about $1,400 in Oz.

Incredibly good sound for the retail price, let alone for the asking price. Easy to place being front ported. They come with original grilles.

They are in good condition but one does have a small dent in the cabinet. Drivers are perfect.

I included a link to the AD of the previous owner, who preferred their performance to Harbeths. Having lived with these for a bit, and having owner Harbeths before, I can see where these perform differently and better in some respects (more musical).

No boxes anymore so this is a pick up only.

I had an offer of $300 which in all honesty I did not have the guts to accept.

I mean with 300 bucks you don't even buy the shitty bluetooth bombastic plastic extra bass speaker that my carpenter was using last month while demolishing my bathroom.

These speakers may not be from a super well known manufacturer but they are most definitely within the audiophile realm, are easy to place and look awesome.

In AU they costed over $1,400 new until they sold out.

C'mon guys, dont make me give these to my father in law.

I heard a pair of these at Stereophonic in Melbourne a few years ago.  They were in a room with other speakers including Rhaido, the big Dynaudio c somethings, big Focal and others.   I'd heard most of the other speakers over time in the same room and walked in with the Xavians playing this particular day.  Not many of the other speakers had me sitting down for a listen but there was something very inviting about the Xaviens, they were just so listenable.   For $400 these are a stupid bargain, even at $1400 they're cheap.

Not being able to ship limits the possibility of a sale, but these are definitely worth at least double the asking price.
