Jventer
Re the Graysonline. Yes some nice stuff. And I agree that I am amazed on how much stuff is on there. Also re the previous question, where it comes from - who in Australia is selling all this stuff on Grays?

Guest yamaha_man
A couple of weeks ago I only just missed out on a pair of Yamaha NS-1000's that were local to me - that alone is a small miracle and will never happen again, considering where I live. And I was after a pair of these too for my Sansui set-up. Guy who bought them (whom I've bought from before) talked the seller down to $500 (problem with one tweeter apparently), he's listed them on Gumtree for $1750... still needs a tweeter. Original seller is now pissed off that he didn't sell them to me for $700, as am I of course... $1750 is ridiculous, IMO. Maybe he's just trying it on in case someone is desperate. Once l had 2 sets of the NS-1000M and 1 set of the NS-1000. Listed a pair of M's on Ebay for $1500.00 and didn't have a single bite. As the story goes l needed to move them so as soon as the auction ended l listed them as a 99c auction. A week later l was sent $2550.00 from the new owner which l found bazaar! Gotta love bidding wars I just checked, and the speakers I came across are still for sale... I'll wait a few weeks and I might make an offer if they're still for sale. Might be a while until a suitable replacement tweeter comes up (as one speaker needs one)... apparently the tweeters are prone to failure.
Hugehair
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Eurovox-by-Perraux-Pre-and-Power-Amp-Classic-Vintage-/170959881580?pt=AU_Electronics_Audio_Amplifiers&hash=item27ce00c56c Are these good ones? Must be quite vintage though. The only info I could find on Google was that in 1987 Len Wallis sold the pre at $799; and power at $939 (according to SMH). Must be expensive gears back then
wolster
There is some tasty gear up for auction on Gray's right here. Cabasse speakers included. (they wouldn't let me copy their image) Found it on another site. Just had a peep. It finishes later today. The speakers above are currently at $1,809. Lots of bargains there but who knows how they will end up. If looking, don't forget to add Gray's 15% plus shipping.

Orpheus
Any opinions? http://www.ebay.com....#ht_1687wt_1188 I think (could be wrong) that this was a Tandy Electronics or Dick Smith brand, and I doubt it is very good. I could be mistaken.
pete_mac
Yep, Realistic was sold via Tandy, but some of their gear sounds surprisingly decent. At the current price on eBay it's a steal. Edited December 20, 2012 by pete_mac

Guest 322
Is there anyway (easy) to find out if these Audioquest cables are genuine ? http://www.ebay.com....984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com....984.m1423.l2649 I asked the seller if he had the original packaging - answer, no he claims he moves around a lot and got rid of them? I asked the seller "Do you have the original receipts - answer, no he claims he purchased them from ebay 2 years ago!
