Crikey! You should never have to worry about your speaker cables falling out from behind the amp judging by the size of those speaker binding posts, they are massive.

Binding posts so exaggerated as to start looking rather gimmicky. I'd say kudos - if they did that with solid copper.

A couple of keenly priced TV's in Adelaide.

I suspect the seller has worked out that I might think it's a scam when I asked if the big one was an unwanted gift also.

Won't allow pick up and won't give details.

I suggest you don't send money and expect a TV to be delivered!

Feel free to join the fun and ask lots of questions. Sadly my questions are no longer replied to.?

Seller is an overseas student who has just finished his degree and packing up to go back home. English is not his first language.

The wording in his advert was a bit misleading as the TV is not 'new' and has been used a fair bit. Language issues more than any deliberate attempt to mislead I think.

Anyway the TV (Samsung 65" QLED 4K) looks nice in its new home, and watching Prometheus via my Oppo 203 etc was an amazing experience.

Here a Australian purchasers review of this amp.[rated two stars in link below]

https://store.sony.com.au/archived-amplifier/TAA1ES.html

TA-1AES amp. big disappointment, runs too hot, sounds artificial, heat sinks too small, FET input distortion too high,,no unity gain/bypass facility. distracting bright white light circles around facia line indicators, Black case color mandatory. WHF? says Does,nt convey rhythms particularly well, I find it conveys nothing particularly well and I am a Sony fan with the excellent DA5400ES/XA5400ES combo. Disregard the IMO inaccurate HFN & RR review.

Yes, I found it to be a highly disappointing amplifier too.  A shame really, as it could easily have been so much better.

Great modern bluegrass on vinyl with Chris Stapleton at the helm. $10.60 delivered (if you have prime) can't really go wrong. The pressing is good too I have the same copy I paid more than double this. Only 1 left but maybe someone here is interested.

Good luck!  Love the idea of your Tip Shop Acoustic Research / Sony Hybrids.

They're mutating once again...  The AR tweeters are now running in Celef's, until the originals are repaired or replaced.

Maybe putting some Technics drivers in.

They're very nice cabinets especially after bracing.

Amber Vivace $30.  From around 2000 from what I can see on the net, but not much information.  More experienced people will know if it’s the same Amber as produces speakers in Melbourne now.  Pretty rough, but it they’re the real thing might be worth a look if you are nearby.

OTARI MX 5050 10"Reel to Reel fully serviced....this is a Pro level machine going for a excellent buy it now price of $2500......7 1/2 and 15 ips speeds....Location VIC

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Otari-Reel-2-Reel-mx-5050-FULLY-SERVICED-VG-CONDITION/124396488186?hash=item1cf69bc5fa:g:7OQAAOSwy2Zfj9MW&frcectupt=true

Only caveat with this sort of machine that I see hasn't been reported as problem, but also not checked in the serviced report is if the spool braking is still up to spec.

Seller also has Beatles Tape for sale

I think it's about $1k over priced, hence no sale. Don't confuse it with the later model MX5050 2BII, a much more capable machine with many refinements.
