My mate's turntable which is very easy to add a tonearm to. (I think he has a couple as well).

It is a beautiful antique piece of kit that pictures just don't do justice to. When he showed me the box I actually thought it was going to be a set of Cutlery.

Perfect for the mid-century "Eames" look.

Don’t you mean, “guy stole them, and forgot to Google the value.....”?

In the Google age, I don’t buy it.  I smell a rat.

It happens. People acquire and sell gear all the time they have no idea the value of. NS-1000 have been bought for $50 before.

To relatives and widows these things are sometimes unknown quantities.

But, you all know that. I’m not telling you anything new. It’s why you scour the ads. ?

Yep, it happens.  I acquired a near mint Thorens TD-160 Super for $20.

This would make for an interesting thread - "What is your best used hi-fi bargain."

Mine would be my current set-up, I don't want to disclose too much as I may want to sell it some day but let's just say I saved about $50k off rrp
