anewmission
Has anyone tried this power amp for home hifi? They are great studio power house amps. Wondering if they would be good for home use
Al.M
If it’s this amp http://www.audioreview.com/product/amplification/amplifiers/bryston/3b-st.html the reviews are very good and I also though it was very detailed sound with no bloated bass. Somewhat lean sound so match carefully with speaker.
Ooogh
I haven’t listened to a 3B but it’s big brothers have been very impressive. Bryston bass is just fantastic, fast and powerful. Also rich in the all important mid bass. I have not found the big brothers thin, definitely not etched, with plenty of detail. It appears as the generations have progressed they have become better with each model, smoother, more detailed, blacker backgrounds with ever decreasing noise floors and distortion. To my knowledge they should run 3B, 3BST, 3BSST, 3BSST2, 3B3. If available at a fair price I would grab it. Partner with a nice valve preamp and enjoy.
