40" or so TV with easy to use YouTube

Recommended Posts

Time to upgrade my tele.

I only have a small room, so looking for something around the 40" mark.

Does anyone out there browse YouTube on their TV?.

I've read that some TVs are harder than others to navigate YouTube because of how the remotes work. Any recommendations for me?.

I only use the free YouTube, at this stage anyway.

Thanks, Darryl.

Can't say I've seen and tried them all, but you should like the LG remotes. You can point and select just like with a mouse, which is really neat for browsing.

If you do a lot of typing in the YT searches then check also Samsung - at least on some models they had (have?) remotes with a qwerty keyboard on the back, which helps a lot with that. But I'm not sure about convenience of navigating the on-screen links.

My Panasonic does YouTube fine (I watch a lot of I of M and other Bike clips - the APP is built in ) so maybe look at the Panas Darryl. Mine is a 55" so I don't know if the smaller ones would be the same and of course the Panas cost more than a lot of others.

Cool thanks Grumpy.

How do you type using the remote?. Does it have a qwerty keyboard or do you have to scroll around to each letter?.

it has the on screen qwerty and yes , scrolling takes awhile but it gets easier.

this is how i do about  95% of my SNA posts now

Well I ended up getting an LG OLED. So much for budgets!

Haven't used the voice activation yet but the point and click with the remote is pretty easy to use.
