etnt
My hugo is down for the 3rd time and I'm contemplating a replacement. Any recommendation at the budget of ~2.4k that can match/surpass the hugo for a desktop dac/amp setup? My cans are grado ps1000e. I took a brief look at the yggdrasil and that alone would have cost much more than the hugo itself without an amp. Ended up with Chord Dave and Kennerton Odin. This hobby is not good for the wallet, not good at all.

Yah, tried that combo but preferred the pairing of Dave with Odin. The Utopia is nice and clean, but lacks bass weight. Odin is more "meaty" and intimate. lobster1624705763
Hi Bro, is this Sony headphone great according to your usage? Thought of picking one up when I go to Japan this end Mar. Hi Bro Is a very enjoyable headphone, non-fatigue. In my setup: 1. changed the stock cables to Kimber Kable MUC-B30UM1; 2. paired with Naim Headline2; 3. music genres: jazz, vocal, pop I think it can be better if go balance. Much cheaper there if I remember correctly. Visit the hifi store at Nakano, they seem to have very good prices. http://www.digitalaudioreview.net/2015/12/tokyos-fujiya-avic-headphone-shop-little-store-big-show/

ht.chua
Yesterday my friend brought me to 45th floor Pan Pacific Hotel to audition the Sennheiser HE 1. The best headphone ever seen.
Knight_Rider
The Sennheiser HE 1 is not just a pair of headphones. It is more accurately described as a headphone system as it comes with a specially designed headphone amplifier and DAC. http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/feature-evening-well-spent-50000-sennheiser-he-
