spammoj Posted May 8, 2019 Share Posted May 8, 2019 SOLD Item: M&K VX-7 Mk II Location: Melbourne Price: $70 Item Condition: Good for parts or repair Some scratches on one side of the cabinet Reason for selling: Not working Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Wanted to use this sub to pair with some standmounts but has developed a fault where the driver oscillates loudly when the gain knob is adjusted. The sub does actually work if the gain knob is not adjusted, but as soon as it is touched the oscillations begin. Opened up and checked for obvious signs of bulging caps, burnt out bits but no sign of them. Is a real shame as M&K use good quality components and have nice drivers. The sub is also quite a compact unit so would have been perfect for a 2nd system or shed. Maybe someone with patience and knowledge can repair, or use the parts for another project. Very strange to read that something is actually wrong with one. Virtually bullet proof. Must be something minor.. Very sad day when I sold them..
