Hi

The reason I asks is that I am chasing a new base driver for one of my Ondines But apparently they don't make them anymore. so l am seeing  if any one out there wants to sell a pair  of Ondines.

Cheers

I believe the bass speaker used in the Ondine is the Dynaudio 24W 100.   Replacement  roll surrounds are available for this model which is the usual repair requirement needed. Oh, and the occasional pigtail replacement which requires the ability to solder to aluminium.

The Dynaudio company no longer  supplies individual drivers to the OEM or DIY markets.  They did offer a return/repair arrangement which involved sending faulty speakers to Denmark for service; an expensive exercise. If there is a reason that you do not want to have your speaker repaired  locally you may have to look for a replacement on the secondhand market and take your chances.

Hi

I am trying to find a new replacement base driver for my Ondine Whatmough

Someone mention it may have been a Dynuadio, after removing it found this is not the case, in fact there is not much written on it at all.

They where made back in 1984 by Colin Whatmough.

if someone has any idea your help would be much appreciated.

sounds like Attila Tanka in Thomastown can help with repairs, he's highly recommended on SNA

Perhaps sending in a photo of the speaker used  in your Ondine would assist in  helping to find a matching replacement.

Maybe check with Kee Whatmough at the audio Experts

I rang them they couldn't help and honestly they didn't seem to be very interest in helping as well, which was disappointing

Not sure if Kee even has anything to do with the business anymore
