Anyone with even a passing interest in what the fuss is all about re vinyl should get onto this ebay deal.

The cartridges are worth the asking alone.

Hrmmm... given that it includes postage, it seems too good to be true. Likewise, the Garmin watches that he has listed are silly cheap. Hope that this is not the result of a hacked account...

Seems an incredible deal...but why so cheap? I can't work it out...

Yeah they do look too good to be true. I put a couple on PayPal so if it goes belly up eBay should look after me.

I canceled the sale because I think something is fishy with whole thing. Best to wait and see if they are legitimate.

Just thinking.....if it was a scam, surely he/she would be listing something other than $80 turntables?

As I posted above last night, the seller also had Garmin watches at $80, but those have since disappeared entirely. I wonder if those listings were reported to ebay...

Have just sent an email asking if local pickup would be ok - I live just a few KM away.

It just seems odd for a seller with low volumes of sales, to suddenly list 30 turntables which sell for $400-500 for only $80 including shipping Australia-wide. He might as well be giving them away.

Across his various listings, 24 have sold in the past 24 hours.

It's still in my eBay purchase history. Have you contacted eBay to find out why it was removed?

Im a bit chastened to divulge that it is actually in my Purchased history.

I bought it in another account that logs in, using an old email account. Ebay were quick to help.

sorry.

So the wait is on to see if these actually materialise or not. I had put through a cancel request as I was getting cold feet and wanted to knock my order down from 2 to 1. But it just timed out and now they are saying it can’t be canceled as it has been sent. There is no evidence that it has been posted and the post icon hasn’t been activated or any tracking info been entered. I’ve emailed the seller re eta but haven’t heard anything back as yet. Looking more and more likely this is a scam. PayPal should look after us though...

There is nothing to lose and lots to gain. Think of all those SN members waiting to buy bargains if it comes through.

Ive got one already and it is great but manual turntables... does anyone really love them?

Yes! The high end tonearm market is evidence of that.

I've just noticed that the seller has changed his username to buckingham007.  Strange.  Obviously a scam, but I will need to wait until the expected delivery date has passed before lodging a claim.
