Cheap new R2R CD player

Recommended Posts

I came across a nice tidy CD player sporting a knackered laser on ebay a while back in Melbin. The offer of $65 was accepted and my good mate Dave trundled past a few days later to pick it up for me. Since then he forgot all about trying it out, but did remember to grab it for my recent trip over to Clives place.

In the meantime I ordered a new laser assembly and got to fitting it last night after arriving home. I'm yet to listen but have high hopes considering its complement of little chippies

Might be a candidate for some tasteful modifications in the future as well!IMG_20190414_193345_058.jpeg20190414_112349.jpeg20190414_112359.jpeg

Wow! Eight PCM1702’s - bargain just for the chips alone.

I know, crazy! Why would they go so far to town on such a moderately priced player?

I'd still love to find a Rotel RCD990 though.....

A family member has the next model along, Rotel RCD-991AE -- great player.
